AIRCRAFT MISHAPS     We’ve all seen the headlines about aircraft mishaps happening around the world, from engine failures to emergency landings. But one recent incident really caught my attention. On May 23rd , a private jet crashed into a San Diego neighborhood , specifically in a Navy-owned housing area. What caused the crash? Reports say the plane hit a power line during extremely foggy weather . This got me thinking:  Could this accident have been prevented ?  And who, if anyone, was at fault? As someone who's not a pilot, I admit I don’t have all the technical answers. But from a common-sense perspective, I wonder if the pilots made the right call. In foggy conditions, visibility drops fast, so flying too low seems like a dangerous move. At the same time, maybe they were trying to get under the fog in order to see the runway or ground better. If that's the case, it puts them in a difficult position: trying to balance safety and visibility in real time. S...
