Passenger Screening
TSA has layers of protection to prevent an attack from terrorist. They preform a passenger screening which has became more advanced over the years. The Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) and transportation security administration (TSA) are collaboration on an advanced imaging technology to improve passenger screening (U.S Department of homeland security, 2025). They have been working together developing a new concept and technologies to help homeland to keep the need of passengers safe and to improve detection performance. This allows TSA to stay in front of evolving threats and keep traveling safe. High definition-advanced imaging technology is the backbone of the development. HD-AIT uses no harmful radio waves known as waves that pass through natural and synthetic materials to generate high- resolution data (U.S Department of Homeland Security, 2025). Incorporating this technology to airport screening lanes could allow people to keep light sweaters, jackets and their shoes on when being screened while making detection and identification of threats. If you ask me this is an other level of being protected. I also feel like there could be problem with this. Technology can always be manipulated. I know they are trying to make things quicker but there should still be more step in the screening process. They still should perform quick pat downs too insure the scan did miss anything.
